Our new Assembly Technician: As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly of elevator fixtures including fixture components by referencing related CAD schematics. Qualifications and Educational Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent experience * 1 – 2 years of experience in light assembly work * At least 1 year of Manufacturing experience (custom production) * Demonstrated dexterity and ability to perform simple to complex assemblies in a fast-paced environment * Medium to highly detail-oriented * Experience with electrical fixtures component manufacturing preferred Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies: 1. Correctly identify buttons and components and accurately interpret assembly drawings. 2. Assemble products within specified period of time. 3. Utilize manual hand and power tools efficiently. 4. Effectively inspect assemblies visually and with designated measuring devices. 5. Production rework assembly. 6. Identify non-conformances. 7. Complete shop records accurately. 8. Communicates well with colleagues and team leader. 9. Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently. 10. Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%. 11. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area. This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically Mondays to Thursdays from 4:00pm to 1:00am, and Fridays from 4:00pm to 11:00pm. Pay: $20.00 (a afternoon shift premium will be added) This is a Full-time, Hourly position.
