Job Responsibilities: Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enable the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of quality parts. Support production performance through data analysis, KPI monitoring, process optimization, and problem-solving activities to improve quality, productivity, and operational results. Salary Range: $61,000 - $73000 Minimum Requirements College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. 1–2 years of engineering experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment (including co-op or internship experience). Proficiency with CAD software for product design and plant layouts (e.g., AutoCAD, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement principles, and Lean methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Understanding of production processes, cycle time analysis, and material flow concepts. Job Specific Responsibilities Support daily manufacturing operations by identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tooling, equipment and plant layouts. Assist with new product launches, engineering changes, production trials and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct cycle time studies, workflow analysis and line balancing activities to improve productivity and efficiency. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including process flows, work instructions, layouts and PFMEAs. Investigate production and quality concerns, perform root cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, throughput and operational performance. Support packaging, material handling and workstation design activities to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. Utilize CAD software to develop layouts, review product designs and support manufacturing projects. Monitor production performance metrics and recommend improvements to reduce waste, downtime and manufacturing costs. Other duties as may be required.
