Job Responsibilities: The World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Coordinator plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the plant. This position is responsible for supporting the deployment and sustainability of WCM methodologies, coordinating activities, and leading initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the WCM Coordinator promotes a culture of accountability and problem-solving while ensuring alignment with corporate WCM MAFACT standards and long-term business objectives. Process Stability & Continuous Improvement Understand and drive process stability and repeatability (meeting targets for productivity, quality, cost, lead time, safety, and environment) Reduce process variation to support continuous improvement initiatives Facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement across all production areas Maintain and promote a continuous improvement mindset Support management of the Continuous Improvement (T.I.M.) program and tracking of key CI projects Standardized Work & Work Instructions Develop, analyze, implement, and train on standardized work (SWCT, SWC, WBT; cycle, long cycle, material conveyance, shop floor quality checks), ensuring operator engagement and ownership Create cycle and long cycle work instructions. Train employees on standardized work after buyoffs are completed Audits, Compliance & Inspections Conduct daily audits (standard work, 5S). Perform formal and informal workplace inspections Identify audit gaps/weaknesses and prioritize improvements Participate in preparation and execution of internal and external MAFACT audits Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements and systems (IATF16949, ISO 45001, ISO14001, PIP) Lean / WCM / MAFACT Activities Support MAFACT best practices, implementation, and training. Deliver and support MAFACT training initiatives Lead Kaizen events and coordinate implementation Conduct value stream mapping, process mapping, and time studies (OPS/MOTS) Provide training on improvement concepts (standardization, MPS, 5S, TPS, Lean, Pull Systems, MAFACT) Daily Operations & Shop Floor Support Coordinate with WCM Lead on daily scheduled projects. Participate in weekly GEMBA walks Respond to ANDON calls and escalate as necessary. Escalate issues appropriately. Review and respond to communications from other shifts Reporting, Communication & Meetings Prepare weekly KPI charts. Prepare reports, presentations, and employee communication materials Attend meetings as required Requirements: Minimum completion of post-secondary education in Engineering or related field Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field (i.e. Manufacturing/Industrial/Quality Engineering, Project Management, CI Coordinator/Black Belt, etc.) Experience in automotive industry an asset. Exigences
Candidates must have a post-secondary degree in Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering. Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and MPS is required for this role.
