We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a driven and self motivated individual to join Raylec Power (Alberta) LP as our Traffic Signal and Streetlighting Foreman. This is a full-time position based out of our yard in Rocky View County, Alberta and will report to the General Manager. Raylec Power (Alberta) LP delivers roadway lighting and traffic signal installation as well as specialized electrical repair & maintenance services. The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications: * Minimum 5 years of experience in the civil electrical industry or a related field. * Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in civil electrical construction. * Journeyperson Electrician certification. * Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract. Class 3 with air brake endorsement preferred; Class 1 considered an asset. * Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices. * Experience operating construction equipment such as mini excavators, digger derricks, skid steers, and backhoes. * Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, contract specifications, and industry standards, particularly for traffic signals, roadway lighting, and shallow utilities. * Strong leadership, planning, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams. * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Willing and able to work shifts, overtime, and outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Current Traffic Control Person (TCP), Occupational First Aid (OFA), and Fall Protection certifications are considered assets. This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to: * Act as a working foreperson by performing both supervisory and Journeyperson Electrician duties. * Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily and weekly work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. * Conduct site visits and pre-job planning to ensure labour, equipment, materials, permits, drawings, and documentation are available before work begins. * Lead and communicate daily work plans, ensuring crew members understand their roles, responsibilities, expectations, and project objectives. * Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with all company safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. * Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, contract requirements, and the Company's Quality Assurance Program. * Participate in staffing, scheduling, and resource planning meetings with management, while optimizing labour, equipment, and material utilization. * Supervise employees and subcontractors, monitor performance, provide coaching and on-the-job training, and ensure work meets company and project standards. * Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and the project team, including preparing reports and project documentation as required. * Perform and oversee civil electrical construction activities, including installing conduit, wiring, concrete bases, streetlighting structures, fixtures, controls, and related infrastructure. * Operate construction equipment and vehicles as required, including forklifts, compactors, arrow trucks, pickup trucks, trailers, and other site equipment. * Perform physical labour as required, including excavation support, trenching, backfilling, material handling, and general site work. * Manage project inventory, tools, equipment, and materials, including receiving, organizing, transporting, and maintaining stock. * Perform other duties as assigned in support of project and operational requirements.
