WorkSafely is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Safety Advisor to join our team and help strengthen workplace safety across Manitoba’s heavy construction industry. This is a highly rewarding role for a safety professional or practitioner who is passionate about making a real impact—supporting companies in protecting their workers, improving their safety systems, and achieving and maintaining COR® certification. As a Safety Advisor, you will work directly with heavy construction employers across the province, providing expert guidance, delivering training, conducting safety assessments, and helping companies build strong, effective safety programs. About WorkSafely WorkSafely is the industry-based safety program of the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association. We partner with employers across Manitoba’s heavy civil construction sector to deliver consulting, training, and COR® certification support that improves safety performance and protects workers. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and driven by a shared commitment to safer workplaces. Key Responsibilities COR® Program Support Provide technical guidance to companies working toward or maintaining COR® certification Conduct audits and evaluate company safety programs against national COR® standards Maintain accurate client records within our CRM system Stay current with safety legislation, standards, and industry best practices Consulting & Advisory Provide expert safety consulting services to heavy construction companies Conduct workplace safety program assessments Develop practical recommendations and safety improvement plans Create tools, templates, and resources to support companies Training & Education Deliver engaging in-class and virtual safety training Support the development and improvement of safety training programs Help companies strengthen internal safety knowledge and systems Industry Engagement Promote WorkSafely services and COR® certification Represent WorkSafely at industry meetings, events, and safety initiatives Build strong relationships with employers, workers, and industry stakeholders What You Bring Minimum 3+ years of experience in occupational health and safety Strong knowledge of Manitoba workplace safety and health legislation Experience with or knowledge of safety management systems Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems Assets Safety designation such as CRSP, CRST, CHSC, or similar Experience in the heavy construction industry Experience delivering safety training and performing safety audits Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license Ability to travel within Manitoba as required Why Join WorkSafely?
