Certified Teacher – MITT High School Location: 130 Henlow Bay Days/Hours: Monday to Friday 12:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. .50 FTE MITT is hiring a Certified Teacher for MITT High School to teach ELA Transactional 40S, Pre-Calculus 40S, Essentials Math 40S, Physical Education/Health 40F Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Teaching the curriculum prescribed or approved by the minister. * Providing an effective classroom learning environment. * Maintaining order and discipline among pupils attending or participating in activities that are sponsored or approved by the school, whether inside or outside the school. * Advising pupils as to what is expected of them in school, reviewing their assessments with them, and evaluating their progress and reporting on that progress. * Administering and marking any assessment of pupil performance that the minister may direct, in the manner that the minister directs. * Ongoing professional development. Required Qualifications and Experience: * Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate. * Previous Grade 11/12 English teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: * Experience teaching in a blended learning environment. * Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System. * Experience teaching in an adult setting. Salary is in accordance with the Collective Agreement. An eligibility list may be created for similar positions.
