We are Manitoba Possible. We believe an inclusive and accessible society is possible. That is why we work together to eliminate barriers to full and equal participation. Manitoba Possible provides programs and services throughout the province. The way we do that is by working collaboratively, diversifying in every way possible, and innovating at every level. Care Possible is a technology-enabled social enterprise founded by Manitoba Possible that helps people and families access flexible, personalized, and preference-based care. We support seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families using Self and Family Managed care in Manitoba. Our mission is to ensure that every Manitoban who accesses care has an excellent experience. We are seeking an emerging Business Development professional who is ready to deepen their skills and experience while contributing meaningfully to the growth and success of a start-up. You will help Care Possible expand its reach across Manitoba and beyond while growing professionally through hands-on experience and delivering on strategic priorities. About the Role Reporting to the Director, Social Enterprise, you will take ownership of defined business development activities while contributing significantly to projects of strategic importance. You will research markets, engage prospective partners, coordinate growth initiatives, and turn promising ideas into practical next steps. This hands-on role offers meaningful responsibility and professional growth. What You'll Do * Assess opportunities for growth through research and analysis of potential markets, partners, and service opportunities. * Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, government stakeholders, funders, and other prospective partners. * Support outreach, discovery meetings, presentations, proposals, and partnership discussions. * Prepare business cases, implementation plans, timelines, budgets, and performance measures. * Lead assigned growth projects from planning through launch and follow-up. * Maintain relationships including managing commitments and follow-up actions. * Track market trends and industry activity; summarize insights and recommend next steps. * Represent Care Possible at community and industry events and follow up on new connections. * Serve as a champion for Care Possible’s mission, vision, and values. What You'll Bring * Experience in business development, partnerships, market research, project coordination, community development, or a related area. * A diploma or degree in business, commerce, public administration, community development, health administration, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging varied stakeholders. * Experience researching opportunities, organizing information, and turning ideas into clear recommendations and action plans. * Ability to work independently, coordinate projects, balance competing priorities, and following through on commitments. * A collaborative, curious, and entrepreneurial approach with a commitment to social impact. Assets * Experience in healthcare, social services, disability services, aging services, nonprofit, or social enterprise settings. * Knowledge of or experience with Manitoba’s health and community support sectors * Knowledge of or experience with licensing, franchising, and regional service delivery models * Experience working with government, funders, or community-based organizations. What We Offer * Meaningful work that improves the lives of Manitobans and their families. * Direct access to senior executives, mentorship, insight into strategic decision-making, and opportunities to accelerate professional development. * Competitive salary and benefits, a flexible hybrid work environment, and professional development opportunities. * A collaborative, mission-driven team culture. We encourage candidates with disabilities and lived experience to apply as well as candidates from diverse backgrounds. Accommodations will be provided upon request throughout the selection process. This document is available in other formats upon request. Contact Human Resources at 204-975-3023 if you have a request. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. We appreciate all who apply, however only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. Include Cover Letter with your application. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter describing your relevant experience, interest in Care Possible, and how you would contribute to our growth. Closing date is 23 September 2026.
