The Role We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Public Company Audit and Assurance team in Vancouver. In this role, you’ll work closely with managers, partners, clients, and junior team members to deliver high-quality audit and assurance engagements for public company clients. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented CPA, or CPA candidate, who enjoys complex work, values strong client relationships, and is ready to continue growing as a leader in a supportive public practice environment. What You’ll Do * Lead and complete audit and assurance engagements for public company clients, from planning through to completion * Use your technical knowledge, including IFRS and Canadian and U.S. auditing standards, to provide practical, high-quality recommendations to clients * Identify engagement risks, anticipate issues, and work with managers and partners to develop thoughtful solutions * Coach, mentor, and support junior team members by providing clear guidance, review notes, and actionable feedback * Build trusted client relationships and act as a reliable day-to-day point of contact throughout engagements * Coordinate multiple engagements while balancing priorities, deadlines, and quality standards * Collaborate with colleagues across client service teams on complex accounting, assurance, and reporting matters * Look for opportunities to add value for clients and contribute to relationship-building and business development initiatives * Support team and firm-wide initiatives related to quality, process improvement, and professional development What You Bring * Education: Completion of, or current progress toward, a CPA designation. * Experience: * 2 to 4 years of relevant public company audit and assurance experience * Strong working knowledge of IFRS and Canadian Auditing Standards; U.S. GAAP and PCAOB experience are considered assets * Confidence using Microsoft Excel and accounting or audit software * Ability to manage engagement responsibilities and prioritize competing deadlines * Skills & Attributes: * Strong analytical thinking and a practical approach to problem-solving * Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal * A relationship-focused approach with clients, colleagues, and junior team members * Interest or experience in mentoring, coaching, or reviewing the work of junior staff * A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality, learning, and continuous improvement Why Join Manning Elliott?
