Finance Administration Coordinator for Not-for-Profit Client, downtown Toronto. Marberg Job Number: 2883. Job Type: Temporary. Existing Vacancy: Backfill for leave-of-absence. Initial Term: ASAP to for approximately 2-3 months. Target Compensation: From $20 to $25 per hour, with some flexibility according to experience. Regular Work Hours: 7.0 hours per day not including 1 hour unpaid lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (35 work hours per week). Work Location: Hybrid - combination of 2-days remote-based and 3-days onsite at client's Toronto office near TTC Union and GO Stations. Responsibilities Summary: To support financial operations by ensuring accurate data management, efficient processing of financial transactions, and robust administrative support. Maintain and update financial and operational information in Salesforce system, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and current. Enter payments and prepare month-end reports. Prepare and mail cheques to vendors. Prepare and issue official tax receipts in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements. Generate business receipts for financial records and client transactions. Assist with the preparation and review of expense reports, ensuring appropriate documentation. Manage office petty cash, including recording transactions, maintaining supporting documentation, and reconciling balances. Review financial information and investigate discrepancies or balance-related issues. Assist with document preparation, filing, data entry, correspondence, and other administrative activities. Maintain organized records to support accurate reporting and financial reconciliation. Provide backup support to Office Coordinator to help maintain smooth front-desk and general office operations. Provide administrative support to Finance and other departments as required. Qualifications: Education: Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Preferred Work Experience: Approximately 1-3 years of accounting or administrative support experience. Preferred Sector Experience: Not for Profit Sector experience an asset. Technical and Language Skills Requirements: Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or similar system. Demonstrated familiarity with standard AP/AR processes (will be tested). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook (will be tested) Strong numerical and data-entry skills and attention to detail (will be tested). Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Professional telephone manners. Task -Based Qualifications and Additional Attributes: Experience preparing reports, processing transactions, reconciling financial information, or maintaining financial records. Punctual, responsible, and reliable. Demonstrated record of professional conduct and character. Focused and able to work effectively with minimal direction and supervision, to prioritize tasks effectively, and to manage volume targets and due dates. Pleasant and courteous. Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional representation of the organization. Proven ability to professionally handle confidential information and exercise good judgement in the interpretation and application of instructions and organization policy. Superior attention to detail, and organized, methodical approach to completion of tasks. Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, and in an advisory capacity, and liaise effectively with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Additional Requirements: Must be available for onsite interview with our client the week of September 8, 2026. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request. Ability to work both remotely and onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies. Ability to promptly provide minimum of 2 reasonably recent, qualified employment references at point of client interview who are available to speak with either Marberg or Marberg's client. Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
