*Job Summary* Marsden Construction Ltd. are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment to support our day-to-day operations. We work on a variety of construction related projects including *earthworks, site servicing, roadwork and grading.* This role requires a safety-conscious individual with experience in equipment handling, commercial driving, and maintenance. *Roles & Responsibilities* * Operate equipment such as *excavators, rollers, dozers, loaders and graders* * Perform excavation for trenches, foundations, utilities, and roadworks in accordance with drawings and specifications * Support site development activities, including backfilling, rough and fine grading, and material handling * Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning * Work in tandem with supervisors and crews to ensure projects move effectively * Support operations by organizing and stacking inventory accurately * Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately * Maintain detailed daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance activities * Comply with all company policies and safety regulations during daily operations *License, Registration and Training Requirements* * *3+ years experience* operating heavy equipment, or similar machinery on civil or construction environments * Secondary school diploma * Valid and unrestricted *Class ?G? driver?s license with ?DZ? endorsement* and access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel to various work locations * *Current WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certification* and other relevant safety training * Knowledge of freight handling and logistics management preferred * Experience with automotive repair or mechanical troubleshooting is a plus * Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00-$38.00 per hour Benefits: * On-site parking Work Location: In person
