Company: Marsh Description: We are seeking a talented professional to join Marsh’s Investment team. This role will be based in Montreal and follows a hybrid work model, with a requirement to work in the office at least three days per week. As an Investment Consultant, you will provide a comprehensive range of services to institutional clients, including defined benefit pension plans, endowments, and foundations. You will be part of a team that delivers innovative, high-quality solutions designed to help clients make the best risk-adjusted return decisions, while taking into account their liabilities and spending commitments. What You Will Do Support senior investment consultants on mid-sized and large client accounts, actively participate in client meetings, and progressively take on greater responsibilities. Serve as the primary consultant for small and medium-sized clients by delivering services, identifying issues and opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, managing client relationships, and leading client meetings. Demonstrate expertise in investment strategies, defined benefit plans, and related regulatory and governance considerations, and actively contribute to client discussions. Support organizations in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into their policies and investment practices. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities to expand Marsh’s services, and contribute to overall client satisfaction. Manage and mentor junior team members while ensuring operational excellence and the timely delivery of client work. What You Need to Have A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, with strong quantitative and analytical coursework. Five to ten years of experience working with defined benefit plans as a consultant or relationship manager. Five to ten years of investment experience, with defined benefit plan experience as a consultant, relationship manager or investment manager. Strong communication skills in both English and French, as this role requires regular interaction with clients and colleagues outside Quebec. Strong project management and organizational skills. Good knowledge of the institutional investment industry and financial markets.
