Company: Marsh Description: What can you expect? Marsh is seeking a talented individual to join our Health & Benefits team as a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant. In this role, you will lead and manage complex client engagements, delivering strategic consulting advice to employers on the design, financing, governance, and ongoing management of group benefits programs. You will work closely with clients to develop solutions across medical, dental, life, disability, and broader health and well-being programs, while contributing to business growth and strengthening Marsh’s market presence in Canada. Be part of a global leader in health, wealth, and career consulting Work with a collaborative team of experienced consultants and specialists Lead meaningful client engagements with complex and high-profile organizations Opportunity to contribute to growth, innovation, and thought leadership in the benefits market A culture of flexibility, inclusion, and professional development We will count on you to: Lead day-to-day management of complex Health & Benefits client relationships Deliver strategic advice on plan design, renewal strategy, funding, governance, and vendor/carrier management Analyze financial, plan, benchmarking, and market data to develop client recommendations Negotiate with insurers, carriers, and vendors to secure competitive and effective benefit solutions Develop and present client deliverables, including renewal analyses, strategic reviews, and executive recommendations Partner with actuaries, analysts, and subject matter experts to deliver integrated solutions Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction to ensure successful delivery Identify opportunities to expand relationships and support revenue growth with existing clients Support new business development, prospect opportunities, and proposal activity Communicate Mercer’s perspective on market trends, legislative developments, and emerging health and benefits issues Mentor junior colleagues What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Significant experience in Health & Benefits consulting, brokerage, or a related advisory environment Strong knowledge of employee benefits, including medical, dental, life, disability, and wellness programs Proven experience managing complex client relationships and delivering consultative solutions Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team-based environment What makes you stand out? 10+ years of Health & Benefits consulting experience Experience advising mid-sized to large employers in Canada Experience with public sector clients Strong carrier negotiation and vendor management experience Business development experience, including cross-selling and prospect support Knowledge of the Canadian benefits landscape, market practices, and regulatory environment Life and/or health license, or ability to obtain one where required Bilingual capability (English/French) is an asset Why join our team? All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $130 500 to $180 500. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs. This is a Replacement position.
