We're looking for a skilled Machinist like you to fill a vacant position! What You'll Do Production Tasks: Follow process sheets, blueprints, or verbal/written instructions from the supervisor to complete production assignments. Material Handling: Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or using a crane. Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor machines to process components. Safety Setup: Install machine fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operations. Workplace Maintenance: Keep machines and work areas clean and safe. Quality Assurance: Inspect operations against predetermined tolerances using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers. Team Support: Perform tasks in other areas or departments as needed. What You'll Bring Basic Skills: Average math proficiency, clear communication, and the ability to read and comprehend instructions in English. Able to complete simple logs and reports. Physical Capability: Ability to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components. Dependability: Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled hours and all company policies. Stamina: Ability to consistently stand for the entire shift. Machining Knowledge: Basic understanding of machining practices, materials, and general mechanical principles. Teamwork: Ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team setting. Personal Attributes: Accuracy, reliability, and a strong focus on quality. Your Schedule 1st Shift; Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Hourly Pay Range $18.00-28.00 CAD To perform this job successfully, you must report daily to the branch and satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
