Company Description Maternal Health Niagara is a psychotherapy practice focused on supporting individuals and families during the perinatal and maternal health journey. The organization provides client-centered mental health services aimed at promoting emotional well-being during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting. Care is delivered with an emphasis on compassion, evidence-informed practice, and respect for diverse family structures and backgrounds. Maternal Health Niagara is committed to continuous learning and high-quality clinical care. Role Description The Social Worker will provide direct clinical services, including psychosocial assessments, individual and family counseling, and supportive interventions for clients experiencing perinatal and maternal mental health concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other health and community providers. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in psychosocial assessment, individual counseling, family support, and treatment planning. Experience working with perinatal, maternal, or family mental health, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment challenges. Strong abilities in crisis intervention, safety planning, and referral to appropriate community and healthcare resources. Proficiency in maintaining clinical records, documentation, and confidentiality in accordance with professional and legal standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships in a diverse, inclusive environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting and to exercise sound clinical judgment and professional boundaries. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Registration in good standing (or eligibility for registration) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Previous experience in psychotherapy or counseling settings; perinatal or maternal health experience is an asset.
