*About Us* Matrix Mechanical Group is a growing mechanical services company in Saint John, NB, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and gas work - residential and commercial. We're building a strong team of skilled tradespeople, and we're looking for plumbers who want to be part of it. *The Role* We're hiring a licensed Red Seal Plumber to join our service team. You'll handle residential and light commercial service calls, lead installs, and mentor apprentices on-site. This is a hands-on role with a balance of independent work and collaboration across our HVAC, electrical, and gas teams. You'll be responsible for getting jobs done right: safely, professionally, and up to code. If you take pride in solving problems, working clean, and teaching others along the way, we'd love to have you on the team. *What You'll Do* *Service & Repairs* * Diagnose and repair plumbing systems, drainage, waterlines, and fixtures * Handle residential and light commercial service calls across Saint John and surrounding areas * Troubleshoot on the fly and come up with practical solutions that last *Installs & Projects* * Lead plumbing installs on bathrooms, kitchens, mechanical rooms, and retrofits * Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, and gas team members when jobs overlap * Maintain a safe, clean, and professional worksite *Mentorship & Communication* * Mentor apprentices and junior techs in layout, installation, and troubleshooting * Communicate clearly with customers and internal office staff * Use a tablet (ServiceTitan) to manage notes, parts, and job documentation * Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation (shared across the team) *What We're Looking For* * Licensed Red Seal Plumber (Journeyperson - Plumbing) * At least 5 years of experience in residential and light commercial work * Comfortable working solo or leading a small crew on jobsites * Strong communication and mentorship skills * Familiarity with local plumbing codes and permitting processes * A respectful, team-first mindset and willingness to collaborate across trades * Comfortable using a tablet or mobile app for dispatch and documentation * Valid driver's license with a clean abstract *What We Offer* * $30 - $40 per hour, based on experience * Health and dental benefits * RRSP contribution * 3 weeks paid vacation * Tool and boot allowance * Company vehicle and fuel card * Monday to Friday schedule with consistent hours * Autonomy - we trust you to run your jobs and make decisions * Growth - room to expand as the company grows * Supportive team - you'll work alongside people who genuinely have your back Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off * RRSP match Work Location: In person
