That’s where Matrix comes in, helping businesses design and implement the right solutions for their needs. Job Summary: We are seeking a mid to senior-level AV Installer to join our Edmonton team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing audiovisual systems in conference rooms, classrooms, and other meeting environments. You’ll also work closely with and mentor junior installers, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Candidates with some AV installation experience are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints Perform comprehensive, onsite commercial audio-visual installation including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers and control systems. Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables Maintain daily communication with Scheduler, Installs Manager and Account Managers on status of project and task lists Willing to work out of town, occasional overnight travel may be required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities Must be organized and detail oriented Willing to mentor Junior level installers Education and/or Experience: Minimum of 1 year of audiovisual integration experience Post-secondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred Any industry recognized training is preferred : Avixa CTS, CTS-I, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante Safety: Bondable, clean driving record Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts Trade certifications: WHMIS, fall arrest, scissor lift and other safety Certifications Company Benefits: Join a well-established, family-owned business offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive, 100% employer-paid benefits package, including dental, vision, extended health (paramedical services), critical illness, LTD, life, and AD&D insurance. Install audiovisual systems in conference rooms and classrooms, including low voltage wiring and rack setup. Mentor junior installers and coordinate with project managers to ensure high-standard project completion.

Requires at least one year of AV integration experience and the ability to read electronic schematics. Preferred qualifications include post-secondary education in electronics and industry certifications like CTS.
