QA Engineer

Maxima is an AI native startup in the enterprise accounting space. We've raised over $41m from top-tier VCs, and are live with customers like Scale AI, Rippling, and Zendesk. Think of Maxima to accountants as Claude Code to engineers. We are looking to hire our first QA engineer in the Toronto office., responsibilities include: Increasing end-to-end test coverage (Playwright + use AI to generate tests) Maintaining existing tests Manual testing for edge cases Once the above are maintained at a reasonable state, you'll also contribute to our codebase by fixing bugs and implementing new features. Knowledge of Typescript, React, Playwright will be important. Work arrangement: 5 days a week in person Office is located at King station in downtown Toronto Lunch is covered Our team is tight-knit and fun, we look for people who take initiative and feel a strong sense of ownership.

The QA Engineer will be responsible for increasing end-to-end test coverage using Playwright and AI tools while maintaining existing tests. Additionally, the role involves manual testing for edge cases and contributing to the codebase by fixing bugs and implementing new features.

The candidate must have knowledge of Typescript, React, and Playwright. The role requires a proactive individual who takes initiative and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership.
