McCuaig & Associates Engineering Ltd. is currently seeking a Jr. Technologist/EIT to join our Asset Management Department at our Burnaby, BC office. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of technical building science and project management experience and has a keen interest in the field of asset management. Key Responsibilities: * Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the following Asset Management projects: * Condition Assessments * Capital and Maintenance Planning * Depreciation Reports / Reserve Fund Studies * Feasibility Studies * Perform site reviews / field investigation * Review of drawings, specifications and other relevant technical and financial document * Perform quantity takeoffs / estimating * Develop budgets and cash flows * Research building materials and maintain and update internal templates, database and library * Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other specialty consultants as necessary * Attend client meetings Skills and Qualifications: * Registered or eligible to register as an AScT with ASTTBC or EIT/P.Eng. with EGBC * Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills * Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic * Technically proficient in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Autodesk Revit/CAD an asset * Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities * Effective project management skills and experience * Relevant building science and construction industry related experience * Working knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE 90.1, NEBC, and relevant standards * Ability to travel * Ability to work at heights * Valid Driver’s License Please note that all candidates must be willing to undergo personnel security screening (similar to a criminal record check).
