Principal Security Specialist

Job Overview: Reporting to the MDR Site Security Lead or Deputy Site Security Lead, the incumbent will be responsible for general security supervision/mentoring/training of subcontracted guards and other security services (i.e. drug dogs, security technicians etc.). The candidate will also be the primary investigator for security incidents occurring on site. The candidate’s14-7 rotation will be synchronized with other MDR Security members to maximize security coverage on site. Salary Range: $161,533 - $208,993 CAD. The Principal Security Specialist is responsible for supervising, mentoring, and training subcontracted security guards and services. They also serve as the primary investigator for all security incidents occurring on site.

Candidates must have at least 10 years of policing experience, including 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong investigative training and the ability to work in a remote camp environment are essential.
