Hiring Unit: Department of Chemistry Position Summary: Leads and conducts research on cellulose modification. Interpret magnetic and spectroscopic data. Focus research on the use of antibacterial cellulose. Report writing and presentations. Monitor the progress of graduate students in the lab. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities: Strong analytic skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstration of leadership. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively and in a timely manner. Must be a self-motivated worker who can work both autonomously and in group settings in a complex, changing, and deadline-oriented environment. Experience and Education: PhD in chemistry with 5 years+ postdoctoral/research experience after receiving PhD degree.
