Hiring Unit: Department of Chemistry Position Summary: Leads and conducts research on cellulose modification. Interpret magnetic and spectroscopic data. Focus research on the use of antibacterial cellulose. Report writing and presentations. Monitor the progress of graduate students in the lab. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities: Strong analytic skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstration of leadership. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively and in a timely manner. Must be a self-motivated worker who can work both autonomously and in group settings in a complex, changing, and deadline-oriented environment. Experience and Education: PhD in chemistry with 5 years+ postdoctoral/research experience after receiving PhD degree. The Research Associate will lead and conduct research on cellulose modification, specifically focusing on antibacterial applications. Responsibilities include interpreting magnetic and spectroscopic data, preparing reports, and monitoring the progress of graduate students.

Candidates must hold a PhD in chemistry and possess at least 5 years of postdoctoral or research experience. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are required, along with authorization to work in Canada.
