Role Description The Journeyperson Welder role is a full-time, on-site position located in Red Deer, AB. The role involves performing high-quality welding on various materials and components using approved procedures and welding processes. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings, setting up and operating welding equipment, and completing welds that meet safety, quality, and code requirements. The Journeyperson Welder is expected to inspect finished work, identify defects, and carry out repairs before final QC inspection. The role also includes following all workplace safety regulations, collaborating with other trades and supervisors, and accurately documenting work performed. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in welding processes, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding. Strong understanding of Materials, including properties of metals, alloys, and appropriate filler materials. Recognized Journeyperson Welder certification or equivalent trade qualification. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedure specifications. Commitment to occupational health and safety practices, including use of PPE and adherence to company policies. Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required. Previous experience in industrial, fabrication, or construction environments is an asset. CWB welder qualifications also considered an asset.

Perform high-quality welding on various materials using approved procedures and equipment. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, inspecting finished work for defects, and documenting all performed tasks.

Requires a recognized Journeyperson Welder certification and proficiency in Arc, MIG, and TIG welding. Candidates must be able to read technical drawings and adhere to strict safety and quality standards.
