Role: This is a continuing education level. May require supervision of more experienced technicians or technical staff to perform simple test bench assembly, modification or validation tasks. May be required to perform tests on simple electronic assemblies, passive or active telecommunications equipment, and chamber monitoring on more complex equipment. Must demonstrate initiative and progress within routine tasks with well-defined boundaries. Tasks: 1. Align and test simple production equipment according to well-defined procedures or other guidelines. Record test results. 2. Assist in setting up, modifying and checking test stands for equipment of simple complexity. 3. Assist more experienced technicians or technologists. 4. Participate in the monitoring of thermal or vacuum chambers. 5. Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules. 6. Perform other related duties. Minimum required qualifications: * Education: College diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics or related field as assigned. * Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience * Language skills: At ease in spoken and written French and English (Contact with customers outside Quebec). Comments/Special Considerations: Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP). The technician will perform test bench assembly, modification, and validation tasks while assisting more experienced staff. They are also responsible for monitoring thermal or vacuum chambers and ensuring all work complies with safety procedures.

Candidates must hold a college diploma in a relevant engineering field such as mechanical, electrical, or electronics. The role requires 0 to 2 years of experience and the ability to obtain security clearance and Controlled Goods Program certification.
