The Opportunity Payroll is at the heart of the employee experience, and we're looking for a Team Lead, Payroll to help lead our payroll operations with accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. In this role, you'll provide leadership to a team of Payroll Administrators, oversee payroll processing across multiple operating companies, and partner with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Benefits, Pension, HRIS, and Operations. You'll also play a key role in driving process improvements, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. What You'll Do Lead and coordinate payroll processing activities across multiple companies Provide coaching, guidance, and support to Payroll Administrators Manage complex payroll issues, exceptions, and retroactive calculations Review payroll reconciliations and ensure legislative compliance Support year-end payroll activities, reporting, and audits Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiencies Support Workday enhancements, payroll projects, and testing activities What You'll Bring PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation 5-7 years of progressive payroll experience 1-3 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience Experience processing complex payrolls in a multi-company environment Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, reconciliations, and audits Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Excellent communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Assets PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional) designation Experience with Workday and payroll system integrations Knowledge of collective agreements and multi-provincial payroll Continuous improvement, project, or process optimization experience French language skills Ready to bring your payroll expertise and leadership skills to a team where your contributions make a difference? Pay Range: 73,465 - 82,648 CAD The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training.
