MEDUCOM has established a leadership position in Canada as strategic consultants and communication strategists who excel at delivering quality programs and services valued by leading pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals across Canada. Job Description As a Medical Advisor at MEDUCOM, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team focused on developing and delivering high quality healthcare communications. You will be responsible for medical writing, marketing and content development across a breadth of therapeutic areas. In this role, you will also monitor industry trends to support new business endeavours and oversee junior employees’ work to ensure strategic insights are highlighted in deliverables. This is an existing position within the organization. Primary Accountabilities Review junior teamwork for quality, medical accuracy and strategic thinking Provide project-related feedback to junior staff and liaise with managers to ensure improvement of team Act as the Strategic Lead on medical heavy projects, overseeing project management and both medical and client service team members, while ensuring strategic thought is integrated in all project elements Support content development on scientifically challenging or complex projects (e.g. manuscript, data analysis, complicated educational programs) Leverage high level of medical expertise and ability to quickly immerse oneself in a therapeutic area to deliver content with the utmost quality and efficiency Support pipeline updates to identify emerging products of interest for MEDUCOM, evaluating industry trends and suggesting key strategies to inform new business discussions and client-engagement strategy Essential Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of agency or pharmaceutical industry experience A graduate degree in the biological or life sciences (i.e. biology, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology) Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred Ability to develop meaningful personal relationships with clients and establish yourself as a trusted partner Polished oral and written communication skills that allow you to relate easily to a variety of professionals Strategic and technical writing ability, with a high attention to detail Superior organizational and proven time management skills – ability to prioritize effectively Excellent research capabilities and a strong aptitude for learning Proven problem solving and analytical skills in a creative, dynamic, multitasking environment Superior computer software knowledge application and skills in programs including (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and digital media platforms. Understanding of SPSS and EndNote is advantageous Energy, motivation and an adaptable, ‘can-do’ attitude along with the perseverance and patience to bring programs to successful completion on time What can you expect from MEDUCOM?
