POSITION DESCRIPTION Opportunity exists immediately for a safety committed, motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Maintenance Department in the position of Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor will support the achievement of excellent safety, environmental, and reliability performance, leading a team that manages, repairs, and tracks repairable spares, to ensure replacement parts are always ready and cost-effective to reduce equipment downtime and meet operational budgets. RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise the Technical trades group responsible for execution of the precision equipment rebuilds. * Assign repair tasks to technicians based on their skills and job priority. * Review worker output to make sure all quality and time goals are met. * Monitor stock levels to keep a close eye on how many repairable parts are in the warehouse, tracking in-house and offsite repairs. * Identifying and procuring necessary materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance tasks. * Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work performed and associated costs. * Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance processes and procedures. * Drives for high productivity, precision workmanship, technical accuracy, and consistent reporting standards. * Responsible for commissioning and start-ups and performance testing of new and rebuilt equipment. * Support and develop the Reliability Team staff to maximize their engagement and the performance of their areas by identifying and prioritizing area reliability concerns. * Utilize the CMMS system (SAP) to document all work and track issues; ensure that Area Coordinators understand the issues and risks, and that problems are resolved in a timely manner. * Promoting a culture of safety by ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with established safety standards and regulations. * Engage crew to foster ownership, financial stewardship, and proactivity. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * Technical background in a Mechanical discipline (ie, RSE, C. Tech, or C.E.T. or Red Seal Trade) is preferred; applicants with applicable planning experience may be considered. * Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor and/or Planner in a heavy industrial setting. Ability to navigate computerized maintenance management systems (SAP). * Reputation for making health and safety a priority in the workplace. * Excellent communication, time management and conflict resolution skills. * The knowledge of pulp mill processes is an asset. SALARY The salary for this position is $105,000.00 - $158,000.00. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
