HVACr Division Lead / Manager

One of our member companies, Due North Mechanical is looking to hire a HVACr Division Lead / Manager. Due North Mechanical is an established plumbing and gas fitting contractor looking to develop and grow our HVACr division. We're looking for an individual with a multi-faceted skillset, someone with the aptitude to do the work and the drive to develop and lead. What You'll Do Handle installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial systems Establish and foster the division working from an established customer base Work closely with our team to set the division's direction Build, mold and lead a crew as the division scales Help shape pricing, processes, supplier relationships, and service offerings Work to expand our customer base and attract new business What You Need 313A — Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license G2 or G1 gas license Strong experience with both residential and commercial HVACr systems Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for mentorship A leadership mindset — you want to direct, manage, and build Digital skills, familiarity with productivity software and a willingness to learn and adapt Valid Ontario driver's licenses and clean abstract Assets (nice to have) ODP (Ozone Depletion Prevention) card Experience managing crews or running a service department Familiarity with the Hamilton-to-Waterloo region Experience pricing and quoting jobs Experience in both HVACr service and construction What We Offer Salary based on experience ($80K-$120K annual salary) Equity / ownership stake for the right individual Comprehensive health & dental benefit package Company truck, computer and work phone Administrative assistance Tool and clothing allowance Flexible working hours Ability to work from home Disclaimer: Although Merit Ontario employs artificial intelligence enabled tools to conduct initial application screening based on job-related criteria, decisions about who progresses in the hiring process are always made by people. The HVACr Division Lead/Manager will handle installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial systems while establishing and fostering the division from an existing customer base. They will work closely with the team to set the division's direction and help shape pricing, processes, and service offerings.

Candidates must possess a 313A Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license and a G2 or G1 gas license, along with strong experience in both residential and commercial HVACr systems. Strong interpersonal skills and a leadership mindset are essential, along with digital skills and a valid Ontario driver's license.
