Position Summary We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Local Delivery Driver to support our delivery team. Truck would be local pick up 2500-3500 series with box refer. Clean driving record with Class 5 License required. Key Responsibilities Morning truck checks Maintain a clean vehicle Delivery of products to local restaurants, institutions and grocery. When time permits, provide support to the inside team by assisting with additional duties, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below. Pick fresh, frozen and dry goods and prepare them for delivery Prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders. Pack seafood items as required for shipping Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified or trained) Follow all safety and handling procedures Qualifications Previous experience in local delivery an asset or strong knowledge of local routes Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly A strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography. Hours: 38 – 45 hours per week, depending on the time of year.
