Overview Under the direction of the Laboratory Administrative and Medical Directors, the Operations Manager will assist in facilitating the delivery of laboratory services in an efficient and effective manner. This position will manage the operations of the Laboratory including staff planning and evaluation, budget planning and monitoring. This position also maintains the knowledge and ability to provide coverage and support for the Laboratory Quality Manager role as needed. EDUCATION Current active registration with CMLTO Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Program; Bachelor degree Certificate or Training in Quality Systems preferred Qualifications Current 3-5 years of experience in hospital lab management, managing a variety of staff Demonstrated leadership in planning and implementing change Demonstrated knowledge of Accreditation Canada Diagnostics standards Demonstrated excellence in facilitation, communication, team building and problem solving skills Knowledge and experience of legislated safety practices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario and all applicable health and safety policies and procedures set by MGH.
