Recognized for its operational excellence and continuous improvement culture, the company is seeking a strategic procurement leader to oversee indirect purchasing activities across North America. Description Reporting to senior leadership, this role will lead sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories while partnering with operational leaders to improve supplier performance, optimize costs, and strengthen procurement governance throughout the organization. Your key Responsibilities are: Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect procurement categories including MRO, facilities, IT, professional services, logistics, utilities, and other corporate spend. Lead supplier selection, competitive sourcing events (RFQs/RFPs), contract negotiations, and long-term supplier relationship management to maximize value and reduce risk. Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities, improve purchasing efficiency, and support business growth. Partner closely with manufacturing sites and functional leaders to standardize procurement practices, increase compliance, and reduce off-contract purchasing. Establish supplier scorecards, procurement KPIs, and executive reporting dashboards while supporting the ongoing digitization and automation of purchasing processes. Coach and support procurement team members during complex negotiations, supplier escalations, and strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple locations. Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers while continuously identifying innovative sourcing solutions that enhance operational performance. Profile Bachelor's in supply chain management, BA, engineering, or another relevant discipline. 7+ years of progressive procurement experience with significant exposure to indirect purchasing within a manufacturing or multi-site environment. Demonstrated success leading strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management for complex spend categories. Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging spend analytics, financial data, and procurement metrics to drive business decisions. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels. Advanced proficiency with Excel and procurement technologies, combined with a continuous improvement mindset and strong project management capabilities. Job Offer Permanent position based in Mississauga, Ontario, operating in a hybrid work model (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). Competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. RRSP matching program with contributions of up to 5%. Annual performance-based bonus opportunity of up to 15%. High-impact role with the opportunity to shape and influence procurement and sourcing strategies across a large, multi-site organization.
