Job Description Midland Transport is currently seeking a Class 1 Tractor Driver to join our team at our Dieppe, NB Terminal. We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused professional with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and commitment to providing a Superior Quality Service. Position Overview In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers throughout the terminal yard, including positioning trailers at dock doors and designated yard locations. In addition to shunting duties, the successful candidate will perform local Pick-Up & Delivery work as required. Schedule Monday: 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday: 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage of $29.25 per hour. A dynamic, safe, and rewarding work environment. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently move, position, and manage trailers within the terminal yard and at assigned dock doors. Conduct yard checks, equipment inspections, and monitor/refuel refrigerated units as required. Perform local Pick-Up & Delivery work, ensuring timely and professional service. Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with regulatory requirements. Load, unload, and move freight using electric or manual pallet jacks as needed. Maintain company equipment and comply with all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies. Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Operations staff and promptly report any incidents, injuries, damage, or safety concerns. Qualifications Valid Class 1 driver's license. Minimum of 2 years of safe tractor-trailer driving experience, shunting experience will be considered an asset. Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. using appropriate equipment.
