Job Description Midland Transport is currently seeking a Courier Operations Supervisor in Saint John, NB. The Courier Operations Supervisor is the first point of contact for all things courier in Saint John, NB. All drivers and dock staff will report to the supervisor who in turn reports to the terminal manager. Responsible for dispatching, coding, reporting, and driving operational excellence through daily management/ Irving Management System. Oversee daily courier operations, including dispatching, coding, and reporting Optimize delivery routes to maximize service efficiency and control costs Lead daily huddles and monthly meetings to support and communicate operational updates Conduct quarterly driver ride-alongs to identify and implement on-road efficiencies Partner with Terminal Manager to review weekly service and cost performance reports Manage courier budget, making adjustments to ensure targets are met Conduct semi-annual performance reviews with direct reports to drive development and improvement Supervise dock operations, maintaining a clean, functional environment and leading continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications 5+ years' experience managing a team. Experience in the transportation industry (courier specific) considered an asset Minimum High School Diploma, University/College degree considered an asset Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to work within a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively with Excel, Word and Teams Class 5 license for covering a driver if needed Experience using ERP systems such as FACTS considered an asset. Exigences
