Personal Injury Lawyer 2–5 Years of Experience | Etobicoke, Ontario | Hybrid Our client, a well-established and growing boutique law firm in Etobicoke, is seeking a Personal Injury Lawyer with 2–5 years of experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who is ready to take meaningful carriage of files while working closely with an experienced senior lawyer in a friendly, technology-forward environment. The Opportunity The successful candidate will manage a busy personal injury caseload with a primary focus on tort matters, including motor vehicle accident claims. The role offers significant independence and responsibility, together with mentorship and strategic guidance from senior counsel. Key Responsibilities · Independently manage personal injury files from intake through resolution, with appropriate support and oversight. · Handle a high-volume caseload consisting primarily of tort claims, including motor vehicle accident matters. · Draft pleadings, mediation briefs, settlement proposals, correspondence, and other litigation materials. · Conduct examinations for discovery, mediations, motions, settlement negotiations, and other litigation proceedings. · Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, experts, and other stakeholders. · Assess liability, damages, medical evidence, and litigation strategy throughout the life of each file. · Use Filevine, artificial-intelligence tools, and other technology to support efficient file management and client service. · Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm’s personal injury practice. Qualifications · Two to five years of personal injury litigation experience, preferably gained in Ontario. · Called to the Ontario Bar and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. · Experience managing tort files and a sound understanding of Ontario personal injury litigation procedure. · Strong drafting, advocacy, negotiation, organizational, and client-service skills. · Comfort managing a busy caseload and taking ownership of files and deadlines. · A practical, collaborative, and business-minded approach to legal practice. · Canadian legal education is preferred.
