Reports to: Production Supervisor / Charge Hand Cooperates with: Welders, Metal Fab Operators, Shippers, Safety, Customer Service Primary Responsibility of Welder: Performing MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication, and building functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with product specifications. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Perform MIG Welding based on product needs. Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform necessary tasks. Working knowledge of fixturing and assembly techniques. Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measures, hammers, levels, squares, manual and power tools, forklifts, and cranes to assemble to stated requirements. Use pneumatic tools, grinders, and shears. Process inspection, certification, and documentation. Welding equipment maintenance. Work in accordance with CWB & DIN6700 welding standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes CWB welding certification a plus. Must be able to obtain CWB certification. Minimum 2 years' experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
