Competitive Youth Soccer Coach Mississauga United Mississauga, Ontario Part-time | Evenings and weekends About Mississauga United Mississauga United is a growing youth soccer club committed to providing a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment for players in Mississauga and the surrounding GTA. As our competitive program continues to expand, we are seeking knowledgeable and motivated coaches to lead our youth rep teams. This opportunity is ideal for coaches who are passionate about long-term player development and want to contribute to the growth of an ambitious community soccer club. The Opportunity As a Competitive Youth Soccer Coach, you will plan and deliver high-quality training sessions, lead your team during league and tournament competition, and support each player’s technical, tactical, physical, and personal development. You will work collaboratively with the club’s technical leadership and fellow coaches to create a consistent, professional, and positive experience for players and families. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate training sessions • Coach the team during league games, tournaments, exhibitions, and other competitions • Develop players’ technical skills, tactical awareness, decision-making, and confidence • Create a positive, disciplined, competitive, and inclusive team environment • Monitor player development and provide constructive feedback • Communicate professionally with players, parents, team staff, and club leadership • Attend coach meetings, evaluations, and club development activities • Follow Ontario Soccer, league, and Mississauga United policies and standards • Promote sportsmanship, accountability, teamwork, and respect Qualifications • Previous experience coaching competitive youth soccer • Canada Soccer or Ontario Soccer coaching certification appropriate to the team’s level • Strong understanding of youth player development and age-appropriate coaching methods • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills • Reliable and available for evening and weekend training sessions and games • Legally entitled to work in Canada • Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check and any required safeguarding or screening requirements Preferred Assets • Canada Soccer C Licence, B Licence, or equivalent recognized qualification • Experience coaching in Ontario competitive leagues • Experience working with high-performance or advanced youth players • First Aid and CPR certification • Playing experience at a competitive, university, college, academy, semi-professional, or professional level What We Offer • Competitive coaching compensation based on qualifications, experience, and team assignment • Opportunities to coach within a growing competitive program • Support from the club’s technical leadership • Professional development and advancement opportunities • A collaborative environment focused on long-term player and coach development • Potential opportunities to work with multiple teams or additional club programs Schedule and Location This is a part-time position based in Mississauga, Ontario. Coaches must be available for scheduled evening practices and weekend games. Some travel within the GTA and surrounding areas may be required for league games and tournaments.
