POSITION OVERVIEW The Mitchell & Abbott Group Insurance Brokers Ltd., a Navacord Company, is hiring a Receptionist/Personal Lines Account Associate to provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for clients and visitors. The successful candidate will primarily support reception and administrative responsibilities while also assisting the Personal Lines team with day-to-day client service and insurance-related tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and supporting a busy team in a professional office environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Greeting clients Answering incoming calls directed to reception from the Automated Telephone System and redirecting as appropriate Collecting and distributing incoming mail Arranging the delivery of outgoing mail Organizing, managing, and ordering office supplies Providing technical assistance to Account Managers Reviewing renewals to ensure coverage is accurate, taking into account any changes prior to renewal Amending descriptions on the EDOC under the attachment screen to reflect the policy number, type of policy, and renewal term Processing daily automated downloads from insurers Preparing and mailing appropriate renewal letters from the letters available in EPIC Reviewing the daily log for downloaded endorsements and cancellations; examining documents to ensure accuracy Assisting with documentation and providing support for invoice endorsements, cancellations, and rewrites Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned Supporting other staff as required REQUIREMENTS: Experience in insurance would be an asset Superb interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and attention to detail Self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, in addition to strong organizational skills Proficiency in Outlook and Word WHAT WE OFFER: Health and dental benefits RRSP matching program Paid vacation time Sick days This is an existing position.
