Job Responsibilities & Requirements MiTek Canada is growing again and searching for a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our stamping shift on afternoons. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will supervise, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. Work Schedule: This position will work on the afternoon shift from 4:00pm to 2:30am Monday to Thursday. Must be able to train on day shift for first few weeks. Required to work occasionally on Fridays as per business needs. What You Will Do: Responsibilities Lead a department in the execution of daily production tasks, training, and continuous improvement Work closely with the Day Shift Production Supervisor to assign and manage the daily required targets and goals Ensure routed production materials are issued/or received on the production floor and located accurately by the team in a timely manner Address safety concerns with team members immediately to prevent injuries and production hazards, and promptly follow up as needed Ensure all team members wear protective gear during production and monitor compliance with safety instructions throughout the team Execute safety walks and weekly safety audits Ensure team members are performing inspections correctly Maintain a clean and organized work area Actively engage in training and on-the-job development opportunities to advance competency in the MiTek Leadership Blueprint Ensure ERP/MRP production transactions are done correctly and in a timely manner Identify areas for improvement and lead efforts to drive efficiencies, fostering team growth at the site Ensure timely identification and resolution of issues impacting production Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices Work closely with other Plant departments to address and resolve issues Work with local manufacturing engineering group to implement efficient and effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that production employees are trained to Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines and operational demands Perform safety and incident reporting Responsible for shutdown and securing of plant at end of shift Qualifications High School/GED required 2+ Years in leadership role responsible for 4 or more personnel in manufacturing environment Able to use computer and Microsoft Office Applications Preferred Qualifications 3+ Years experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment Experience in MRP Software Experience in RF Scanners Forklift experience Additional Requirements Soft Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Showcase good leadership/motivation skills to lead different people with different abilities and character traits Swift learner and an excellent coach to train their teammates Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively handle the challenges and problems in the production department Demonstrate strong time management skills and take a proactive approach Conflict resolutions skills would be an asset Physical Demands This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, walk upstairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing. Direct daily operations of the stamping shift, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards. Lead team training, execute safety audits, and collaborate with engineering to implement efficient Standard Operating Procedures.

Requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of leadership experience managing 4 or more personnel in a manufacturing environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of meeting the physical demands of a plant environment.
