Facility Maintenance Mechanic The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the general, day to day, hands-on upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of facilities and production requests. This role ensures that all building aspects to support production and warehousing environments are maintained. Reporting directly to Facility maintenance supervisor or Lead Hand, he is also responsible for daily assigned operations. Controlling and disposal of scrap metal and wood product. Assist as required custodial staff to ensure a clean facility. Other Duties: Ensure and complete daily production maintenance requests and repairs through the JIRA System. Perform activities as per PM Schedules set up in Unipoint. Prepare and perform maintenance to all shipping bracket details. Assist trade personnel with major activity. Manage and support items directly (deliveries & pickups) Ability to complete and receive equipment certification as set by MHICA Health & Safety requirements such as, Forklift, Crane operator, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, and Hazardous Waste Handling. Must be able to use pathways in the JIRA and Unipoint System to access maintenance requests and close requests once completed. Physical Working Demands and Working Conditions Must be physically fit, energetic, agile, willing and able to: Lift and perform physically demanding tasks. Work in various conditions, including confined space. Skills & Qualifications Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
