Résumé du poste
The Opportunity: Our client, a technology-focused organization transforming the future of homebuilding in Canada is looking for their next Manager, Production Planning. In this role, you will oversee the planning and coordination of manufacturing activities, ensuring production schedules are clearly defined. This position will convert customer demand and order requirements into practical, achievable production plans while maintaining close coordination between operations, supply chain, inventory, staffing, and manufacturing timelines. If you have a strong background in production planning and scheduling, with hands-on experience using MES and ERP systems, along with experience in a high-paced environment, we want to hear from you! What You'll Be Doing: Oversee production planning, scheduling, sequencing, and capacity management across panel and modular manufacturing operations. Convert customer orders and production requirements into structured daily and weekly manufacturing schedules, ensuring labour, materials, equipment, and staging resources are properly coordinated. Champion the effective use of MES systems, improving data accuracy, production visibility, scheduling capabilities, and operational reporting. Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics teams to develop realistic production plans that reflect current shop-floor conditions and operational capabilities. Coordinate the timely availability and staging of raw materials, components, and inventory to support uninterrupted production. Evaluate capacity, resource utilization, production constraints, and bottlenecks to improve workflow and maximize manufacturing efficiency. Identify potential scheduling challenges, material shortages, and capacity issues in advance and implement solutions to minimize disruptions. Monitor and communicate key manufacturing metrics, including schedule performance, throughput, first-pass yield, rework, downtime, material availability, and labour productivity. Contribute to Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement programs aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and overall production performance. Maintain accurate and consistent data across MES, ERP, inventory, and production planning platforms to support reliable decision-making. Help optimize the integration between MES, ERP, inventory, and scheduling systems to create greater end-to-end visibility across the manufacturing process. What You'll Need to Be Successful: Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Technology, Building Science, Architectural Technology, or related discipline (P.Eng, PMP, or Six Sigma designations an asset) 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or a similar environment. Hands-on experience with ERP, MES, production scheduling, manufacturing execution, or production tracking systems. Proven experience coordinating material availability, inventory levels, and production requirements. Working knowledge of automated manufacturing environments, material handling, line balancing, and equipment capacity and utilization (experience working in panelized or modular construction an asset) Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimize workflows, and resolve complex operational challenges. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Operations, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics teams. Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities, respond to changing production demands, and implement practical solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Compensation Range: $90,000-110,000/annually
