Communications & Content Coordinator The Communications & Content Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of Modern Niagara's internal and external communications by creating engaging digital content that showcases our people, projects, expertise, and culture. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications team, this role develops content for social media, digital platforms, and employer branding initiatives while helping maintain a consistent and authentic brand presence. Success in this role means delivering high-quality content, increasing audience engagement, and supporting communications initiatives that strengthen Modern Niagara's reputation across Canada. By supporting social media, photography, website updates, and communications campaigns, the Communications & Content Coordinator helps increase brand awareness, celebrate our people and projects, and contribute to employee engagement and recruitment efforts while ensuring consistency across all external communications. Key Impact / Purpose * Support Modern Niagara's brand presence by creating engaging, high-quality content across digital channels. * Help strengthen employee engagement and employer brand through authentic storytelling and visual content. * Contribute to marketing and communications initiatives by coordinating content that aligns with business priorities and brand standards. Duties and Responsibilities * Create, edit, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. * Support the maintenance of the organization's social media calendar and assist with campaign execution. * Design engaging graphics, presentations, and branded communications using Canva, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. * Capture photography at company events, project sites, employee activities, and community initiatives. * Edit short-form videos, reels, and employee spotlight content for digital and social media channels. * Assist with website content updates and support content management through the website CMS. * Research, write, and edit content including employee features, project highlights, blogs, announcements, and other marketing materials. * Collaborate with regional teams and subject matter experts to gather stories, photos, and content that showcase Modern Niagara's people, projects, and expertise. * Monitor social media engagement and recommend opportunities to improve content performance. * Ensure all communications are accurate, on brand, and aligned with Modern Niagara's visual identity and messaging standards. * Organize and maintain digital marketing assets, photography, and content libraries. * Provide communications support for recruitment, employer branding, internal engagement, and corporate initiatives as required. * Assist with other marketing and communications projects as assigned. Must Haves * 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field. * Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related discipline. * Strong Canva skills with the ability to create engaging graphics and branded content. * Experience managing content across social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook (experience with Hootsuite is considered an asset). * Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills. * Photography experience, including capturing people, events, and project-related content. * Experience editing short-form video content for digital and social media platforms. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Self-motivated with a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for brand storytelling and employee engagement. Nice to Haves * Experience with WordPress or other website content management systems. * Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Lightroom, Illustrator, and Acrobat. * Basic understanding of social media analytics and content performance reporting. * Experience working in construction, engineering, industrial, or skilled trades environments. * Experience supporting employer branding or recruitment marketing initiatives. * French language skills (written and verbal). This is a new position.
