Where will you work: Esterhazy, Saskatchewan K3 (Highway 22 Esterhazy, SK S0A 0X0 Canada) Are you our next Geotechnical Engineer? The Geotechnical Engineer reports to the Mine Engineering Manager and will assist with geotechnical support for Mosaic conventional mining operations by investigating, designing, and monitoring mining excavations. This role has a critical interface with Maintenance, Engineering, Capital, Mine Development, and Mine Production groups. What will you do? Provide safe and effective Geotechnical Analysis, Design, Instrumentation. Provide geotechnical and geological training and presentations. Interact with respective Supervisors/Contractors, Engineers and Planners. Incorporate risk analysis in all work assigned. Coordinate geotechnical inspections, surveys, and monitoring programs to track operational progress, measure storage and process water inventories, and ensure performance and safety of stack systems. Report issues, coordinate recommendations, and track implementation of corrective actions. Collaborate with Operations, site stack engineers, permitting, environmental, and geotechnical teams to identify major geotechnical capital projects What do you need for this role? A Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required (preferably in the following engineering disciplines: Geotechnical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mining, etc.) Engineer I 0-2 years of co-op or internship engineering exp. Engineer II 2+ years manufacturing industry experience working in an Engineering and/or Operations related role required. Engineer III 4+ years manufacturing industry experience working in an Engineering and/or Operations related role required. Engineer Senior 8+ years manufacturing industry experience working in an Engineering and/or Operations related role required. Experience in industrial operations or heavy construction experience with exposure to environmental and safety compliance elements preferred. Project management experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering design drawings. Ability to interface with all levels of management. Ability to perform complex assignments with limited guidance and completes them within established deadlines. Excellent Leadership, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Bonus points if you have the following: Underground supervisory experience is an asset. Experience in Potash Mining is an asset.
