INTERMEDIATE CIVIL ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY

Position: INTERMEDIATE CIVIL ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY ID No: 14-1554 Location: Sudbury Description: The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills and experience in a wide variety of water resource projects. We are open to applicants across Ontario, but preference will be given to those in Sudbury. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Registration with PEO as an Engineer (P.Eng.), 4 to 8 years of experience in engineering, including design, management, construction supervision, and project management in the following areas of practice is desired: Hydropower development, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering. Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills Responsibilities Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering, Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists, Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties, Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met. The successful candidate will manage projects, including contract administration and construction management. They will also coordinate and mentor junior engineers and technologists while preparing planning reports and design documents.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and be registered with PEO as an Engineer. They should have 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in various water resource projects.
