Position: JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY ID No: 14-1553 Location: Sudbury Description: The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills in a wide variety of water resource projects. We are open to applicants across Ontario, but preference will be given to those in Sudbury. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Registration with PEO, or another provincial regulator, as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.), 0 to 4 years of experience in project management, design, hydraulics, and construction contract administration in the following areas of practice is desired: Hydropower development, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering. Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills Responsibilities Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering, Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties, Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
