Role Description Job Title: QA/Test Engineer Designation: Senior Analyst Location: Mph Regus Toronto Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced QA/Test Engineer with a strong focus on REST API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating effectively with both onsite and offshore teams, particularly within the banking and financial services domain. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, contributing to the overall success of our development initiatives. Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for REST APIs and integrated systems. Perform end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications to ensure seamless user experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability. Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting. Participate in code reviews and provide input on testability and quality improvements. Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Conduct performance and load testing to validate system behavior under various conditions. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in QA methodologies and tools. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality within the team. Mandatory Skills Strong expertise in REST API testing and integration testing. Proficient in end-to-end validation across web and mobile platforms. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Preferred Skills Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks. Experience in performance testing tools. Knowledge of banking and financial services domain. Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools. Experience with scripting languages for test automation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in QA or software testing are a plus.
