Weighing Technician

Job Overview MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment. We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience: Responsibilities: Carry out all tasks and procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods. Report any deviation from documented procedures to your direct line manager, or nominated person. Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any nonconforming event related to customer samples, or other departmental operations. Inform your direct line manager, or nominated person of any unsafe conditions within the department. Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment. Maintain the cleanliness of the department work stations and the equipment. Using appropriate cleaning materials to clean equipment as assigned. Verify and record calibration of the equipment as needed. Perform other duties as required by management. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Follow Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QAQC), and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Raise non-conformance investigation requests to the QAQC department as necessary. Requirements Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently. Excellent Communication skills(written and spoken)in English. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. Detail orientated and ability to work very well under pressure. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Technical Diploma or equivalent experience. High School Diploma and relevant experience will be considered. 0-3 years’ experience in a commercial laboratory

The Weighing Technician is responsible for carrying out tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and reporting any deviations or unsafe conditions. They must maintain cleanliness and verify equipment calibration as needed.

Candidates should have a Technical Diploma or equivalent experience, with a preference for those with a High School Diploma and relevant experience. The role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
