🚨 Hiring: Data Analytics Specialist / Data Scientist – Government of Alberta We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Specialist / Data Scientist to support strategic data initiatives with the Government of Alberta’s Technology and Innovation division. 📍 Location: Remote within Canada 🏢 Occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton may be required ⏰ Hours: 36.25 hours per week 📅 Submission Deadline: July 16, 2026 🗓️ Expected Interviews: July 27–31, 2026 Key qualifications: ✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field ✅ 6+ years of experience in data analytics, statistical programming and quantitative modelling ✅ Strong experience with predictive and prescriptive modelling ✅ Experience applying AI and machine learning to business problems ✅ Knowledge of statistical and data-mining techniques ✅ Ability to translate complex business questions into analytical solutions ✅ Experience developing dashboards, visualizations and analytical products Experience with data pipelines, cloud platforms, Spark, Hadoop, de-identification, synthetic data, metadata management and large government datasets will be an asset.
