We are looking to fill a Fixed-Term Accountant role for our Finance Team in St. John’s, NL or remotely! Role Overview: This is a fixed-term role covering a parental leave on our Finance team, reporting to our Financial Controller. You’ll own a core slice of our month-end close, full-cycle accounting across various reconciliations, technical journal entries, and inventory/cost accounting, and partner closely with the Controller on the judgment calls and other tasks as required. It’s a great fit for an accountant who likes owning real responsibility from day one, is comfortable across the general ledger, and wants to leave a process better than they found it (we’re continuously building AI-assisted and NetSuite-native automation tools, and you’ll help). What You’ll Do: • Prepare various technical month-end journal entries • Complete balance-sheet and general-ledger reconciliations and keep clean, audit-ready working papers. • Own the accounts receivable process for our B2B and MysaHQ customers throughout North America. • Handle inventory and cost accounting for inventory located across North America. • Assist with financial reporting, supporting the preparation of period-end financial statements and reporting packages. • Work closely with the Financial Controller and other tasks as required. • Help us continue to automate the manual work through the use of AI and other tools Your Star Qualities • A CPA designation (or in progress), with 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience. • Confident with general-ledger work, month-end journal entries, reconciliations that you own independently. • Hands-on with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP) and strong in Excel/G Suite. • Bonus points for inventory or cost accounting, cross-border (CA/US) customs and duty, or e-commerce (Shopify/Amazon) accounting. • Detail-oriented, organized, a clear communicator, and quick to ramp within a fixed term. • Curious about using AI and automation to make accounting faster and less manual. You will prepare month-end journal entries, complete reconciliations, and manage the accounts receivable process. Additionally, you will assist with financial reporting and work closely with the Financial Controller.

A CPA designation (or in progress) and 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience are required. Candidates should be confident with general-ledger work and have hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
