As a valued member of the Student Life team, the Student Life Assistant plays a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering programs and services that enhance the student experience, foster engagement, and support institutional student success initiatives. Individuals may be required to work days, evenings and/or weekends. Key Responsibilities Create engaging social media content through filming, editing, photography, graphic design, and content development, while helping showcase student life initiatives online. Support the delivery of mentorship and student engagement events, including information booths, Treat Trolleys, Service Fairs, event setup, and participant engagement. Assist with the Student Life Volunteer Program by creating, updating, and organizing resources for the VOME library and supporting volunteer engagement initiatives. Report student feedback, concerns, or service issues to a supervisor. Perform other related duties as required. Skills & Abilities Experience with social media content creation and operations. Good understanding of applicable computer software and electronic systems. Good knowledge of administrative best practices. Ability to lift up to 18 kg (40 lbs.) Qualifications Completion of grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related certificate(s) Some experience in retail or customer service environment. Must be a current NAIT student in good academic standing. Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES). Classification – Customer Service Representative I This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement. Remuneration: Refer to the salary range noted on this posting, plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation pay.
