These positions are classified at the RÉ-05 level (salary range from $77,281 to $102,535 per annum – under review). A list of qualified candidates may be compiled and may be used for additional temporary or indeterminate positions. JOB OVERVIEW Under the guidance of a senior landscape architect or project manager, you will provide professional landscape architecture services in support of the NCC’s Multi Year Capital Program and other approved programs. Working within multidisciplinary teams and established project management frameworks, you will contribute landscape architecture expertise throughout all phases of project delivery, including site analysis, planning, design development, contract documentation, coordination with internal and external parties and implementation support. You will be responsible for defined project components, exercising increasing autonomy, while continuing work under senior professional direction. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in landscape architecture or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. EXPERIENCE Three to eight years of experience providing professional services in landscape architecture. LICENCES Must be licensed/registered as a professional member in landscape architecture in Ontario or Quebec and with the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects. KNOWLEDGE • Of landscape architecture principles, methods and best practices in planning, design and construction. • Of relevant codes, standards, regulations and accessibility requirements applicable to landscape projects. • Of sustainable design principles and practices for the development of functional, durable and environmentally responsible landscapes. • Of the heritage significance of cultural landscapes and the NCC's stewardship responsibilities. ABILITIES • To review and evaluate landscape architecture designs, plans and technical deliverables for quality, compliance. • To analyze complex information and develop practical, sustainable and innovative landscape design solutions. • To work effectively in multidisciplinary team environments and build collaborative relationships. WORKING CONDITIONS • Regular site visits are required, involving remaining upright and mobile on uneven ground and as required, the use of personal protective equipment such as hard hats, high-visibility vests, gloves, glasses and safety shoes. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • Possess or eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance. • Linguistic profile: English or French • A valid, unrestricted Ontario Class G driver's licence (or equivalent from another Canadian province). • The positions are in the National Capital Region. The person selected for the positions must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace. • The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment.

Exigences
Candidates must hold a degree in landscape architecture and possess three to eight years of professional experience. Registration as a professional member in Ontario or Quebec with the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects is mandatory.
