DZ Bin Truck Driver

Description We are looking for experienced full-time and part-time truck drivers to provide service to Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be assisting to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities Transport bins to customer locations and transport loads from customers to assigned landfill. Complete pre-trip inspection on vehicles for mechanical/safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations. Requirements Proven experience as a truck driver. Ability to drive continually during a working day and travel locally. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience and valid DZ driving license. High level of accountability and time management. Willingness to get in and roll up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the tasks done safely and effectively. Clean driving abstract/CVOR. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and dispatch.
