The Role Natural Products Canada (NPC) is seeking a full-time Manager, Programs with five years of relevant experience. Reporting to the Director, Programs, you will support the delivery of multiple programs. NPC’s programs support innovative biobased companies in accelerating their growth in Canada’s bioeconomy. This role involves diligent monitoring, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and financial oversight while supporting achievement of program objectives and outcomes. You enjoy engaging with early-stage companies, assessing emerging technologies, and applying strong process, data analysis, and project management skills. This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in supporting innovative Canadian companies as they advance biobased technologies, access funding, and scale their impact in the bioeconomy. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the application review process. Evaluate applications in collaboration with NPC Regional Directors and prepare recommendations for the Director, Programs. Lead company due diligence of program applicants. Support and coordinate contract negotiations, drafting, administration and tracking. Lead the monitoring of quarterly project reporting including written and financial claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with funding agreements. Manage the collection, compilation, and analysis of annual reporting data from early-stage companies. Prepare committee meeting materials, including program updates, summaries, and recommendations. Manage the CRM for program-based activities, ensuring accurate tracking, updates, reporting, and data integrity. Qualifications and Experience Post-secondary degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in program management. Ability to work effectively from a suitable home office in a 100% remote role within Canada. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate information and identify risks or issues. Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience working with CRM systems and AI-enabled tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Assets Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset. Familiarity with the bioeconomy, natural products, innovation, or entrepreneurship sectors. Travel: Must be willing to travel within Canada for quarterly team meetings and to attend industry events as needed.
